Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 22, 2026
1. Who we are
MarginSonar ("MarginSonar," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at https://marginsonar.com and provides competitive price, promo, and stock monitoring services for supplement brands. Our contact email is hello@marginsonar.com.
2. Information we collect
2a. Information you provide directly
- Contact and intake forms: When you submit a contact or pilot intake form, we collect your name, email address, company name, and any details you include in your message (such as brand names, SKUs, and channels you want monitored).
- Checkout and billing: When you purchase a pilot subscription, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, and billing country from Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers; Stripe stores payment credentials on its own PCI-compliant infrastructure.
- Onboarding information: After purchase, you may provide additional context through our onboarding form, including SKUs, alert recipients, and monitoring preferences.
2b. Information collected automatically
- Log data: Our servers log standard web request information, including IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited, for security and operational purposes.
- Analytics: We may use standard web analytics to understand which pages are visited and how users navigate the site. We do not use analytics that build individual behavioral profiles for advertising purposes.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to contact and intake form submissions
- Deliver and operate your monitoring pilot (configure watchlists, send alerts, deliver weekly summaries)
- Process payments and manage billing through Stripe
- Send transactional emails related to your account or pilot (confirmation, onboarding, alerts)
- Improve the service and fix issues
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or share it with data brokers.
4. How we share your information
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate MarginSonar, including Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (website hosting), Google Cloud (API and database infrastructure), and standard transactional email providers. These providers access your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers: If MarginSonar is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data retention
We retain contact form submissions and pilot account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (such as billing records, which Stripe retains per its own policies).
6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure secret management. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. This includes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for individuals in the European Economic Area.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@marginsonar.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents: We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale (which does not occur here).
8. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use session cookies for functional purposes (such as maintaining checkout state) and analytics cookies to understand aggregate site traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this may affect site functionality.
9. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Children
MarginSonar is a B2B service intended for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for active pilot customers, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
